How to green the World´s desert and reverse climate change?
This video must be watched and commented by all majors: Law, Commercial engineering and Economics.
On this video you will hear Allan Savory who is an outstanding researcher against planet desertification. He has developed a theory and methodology called Holistic planned grazing by which desert landscapes turn into productive agricultural areas without any collateral effects. Thus, he and his group of researchers have been transforming desert areas by mimicking nature. It means letting livestock, sheep and goat deposit their waste; thus the animals’ waste and urinates break down through water and those fertilize desert soil. Consequently, restored lands become more productive agriculturally due to changing micro climates. The new fertilized crop fields are able to feed raising populations, carbon pollution gets inside soil instead of going to the atmosphere.

As a brief summary I can say that there are two multinationals which names are: CEMEX and PERHUSA. Those organizations have been working in order to help people to get out from extreme poverty. Particularly, CEMEX supplies with construction materials and some technical and financial help to people who do not have any financial access to finish their houses. Cemex through its economic inclusion project (Patrimonio hoy) incorporates construction workers, female sellers, distributors, building suppliers in continuous building and finishing poor people’s shelters. Every one of them gets their incomes and move ahead with their housing and expectative profits. In the other hand, PERHUSA integrates coffee pickers to produce organic coffee in order to be sold in European and The United States markets. Farmers get organized into associations; then, the company provides them directly with loans, fertilizers, credits, as a result farmers obtain high quality coffee beans. Consequently, working for and being part of multinationals have helped some people to run their own business and get out from misery.

2014. Its first part says that in the past, South America was the last continent in sense of social development. According to the United Nations 5 million people used to live under no basic human needs; even though having so many economic-natural resources. From about 20 years ago, most countries from South America have been increasing their GDP (Gross Domestic product) into 7%, especially Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Chile and Colombia. Their economic boom is based on domestic industries, consumption, new political micro policies, the management of mining natural resources, an integrated economy system among South America countries, commodity prices, the quality of the agricultural and industrial products, multinational investment and exports around the globe. Profits have been invested in education to provide better social opportunities. However, no everything is going well in /South America, Caribbean countries’ economy is still dependent from international tourism, especially from United States and Europe. In other words, South America economic philosophy is to develop a sustainable economic system which can provide strength and growth to its citizens
